Virgin Mary

My tooth hurts, and still, I chomped and nibbled on my Mexican street corn with gratefulness and necessity to restore a long lost memory of my childhood. My mother and I enjoyed our snack watching the men build a stage that would be used by musicians on the day of the Virgin Mary's birthday celebration. I left East L.A. sharing a feeling of happiness as I drank my "agua de naranja". Love.
